James McManus rode to two finishes just outside the top ten to pick up more championshipSupersport points at round five of the British Supersposrt Championship at Snetterton.
Qualifying
James McManus made a huge improvement from his FP1 lap time, finishing FP2 8-tenths faster and only narrowly missing out on direct entry to Q2.
In Q1 James finished third quickest and was able to take part in Q2. He then went further and improved his lap time in Q2 meaning he lined up on the grid in 22nd spot (16th in the Supersport category).
Sprint Race (10-laps)
The ten-lap Sprint Race got underway mid-Saturday afternoon with weather conditions were good.
James McManus made a positive start as he went from 22nd on the grid to 19th on the first lap before climbing to 15th on the track and 13th in the Supersport class by the end of the third lap.
James laid down a series of consistent lap times in the low 1:56s to cross for another excellent finish in 11th, meaning that both brothers scored points.
Feature Race (14-laps)
James McManus moved from 22nd on the grid for Saturday’s Sprint Race to 17th for the Feature Race on Sunday.
Having made a good start James slipped back to 20th by lap six and 15th in the British Supersport class. The number 14 was in a group of GP2 and Cup riders throughout most of the race and went on to cross the line at the flag 16th on the track and 12th in the Supersport category to secure more championship points.
